Abstract

This academic essay articulates theoretical reviews, scientific contributions, and the author’s experience as a researcher and university professor in undergraduate and graduate training of psychologists within public health services. Its aim is to critically review and reformulate concepts such as mental health / integral health, psychological interventions in health services, and the processes of subjectivation of psychoanalytic theory and technique, adjusted to clinical praxis in this context. The objective is to foster discussion on the foundations of the discipline based on the clinical realities of professionals working in Uruguay’s public health services.
