This article presents the development and results of a master’s research study from a psychoanalytic perspective, aimed at exploring the relationships between ego modification processes in adolescence and experiences within virtual social networks. The analysis of the results suggests that processes related to movements within the narcissistic register and the construction of an identificatory project find, during adolescence, significant support in virtual social networks.
