ADOLESCENCES AND RISK-TAKING BEHAVIORS: PSYCHOANALYSIS AND OTHER DISCIPLINES

Abstract

Based on a clinical and research trajectory in adolescent mental health developed within university and public health settings, this paper offers a critical reflection on contemporary issues, with particular emphasis on risk-taking behaviors during adolescence. It forms part of an ongoing research project on the subjective meanings these behaviors acquire in the construction of adolescent identity. The analysis is grounded in a theoretical framework that brings psychoanalysis into dialogue with other disciplines. The analytical axes presented are the process of adolescent subjectivation, risk-taking behaviors, and body-subjectivity.
