Abstract

In light of the mass use of generative artificial intelligences such as ChatGPT, a psychoanalytic reflection is made on the advancement of human relationships with digital technologies that simulate forms of subjective alterity. It is proposed to consider the participation of the structural duality mortal-immortal self in the ways these relationships are carried out, their scope and their consequences for our consideration of what we experience as an other. Digital stimulism is proposed as a complex that accounts for new soul diseases related to the use of contemporary digital technologies, serving the megalomaniacal expansion of the immortal self.
